Formal Pricing Request

We supply wholesale volumes, which are large (minimum usually approximately 20 mt or 1 Full Container Load). Suppliers normally do not deliver product in these volumes at prices significantly different from the standard international pricing.

Please be aware that detailed pricing is an expensive and time consuming process. The issue of a formal priced by a supplier is a guarantee they can deliver. It is formally binding and therefore carries risk and incurs costs by the supplier.

To ensure they can deliver, each supplier issuing a formal priced offer is obliged to set aside enough production  to cover the formal priced offer. To take this risk, each supplier must build confidence in the buyers they are dealing with.

Suppliers must be able to carry out standard due diligence checks on any buyer requesting a priced offer. To do this, Suppliers need the following from the buyer:

  • Company Name
  • Name of the Authorized Person requesting a priced offer
  • Company address
  • Contact details including –
    • Telephone and / or Mobile
    • Web site URL
    • Skype (if available)
  • Products of interest, including:
    • Product name
    • Specification
    • Volume/s required
    • Target Pricing if significantly different from standard international market pricing
    • Destination Port
    • Incoterms EXW / FOB / CNF / CIF if applicable

Advice to Intermediaries

Youling cannot negotiate with any unqualified parties. We can discuss, inform and supply information but entering into negotiations can only be done with those parties that can supply a copy of their formal mandate and authorisation to act and commit in negotiations and contracts on behalf of their principal or buyer.
